While I would alway prefer a manual transmission, there's nothing else wrong with the drivetrain in the Prowler. It has good power.

If you want one, put in your order NOW since they're leaving production soon.

Nahh I'm gonna have to pass on the Prowler

Someone took a Prowler, jammed a v8 with a manual and called it a Growler. I'd rather have that but since the factory isnt going to build it I guess I'll wait on a better car.

Do I hear a turbo charged PT Crusier is coming our way?

The turbocharged PT Cruiser is on its way. Possibly with the Neon SRT-4's 205hp 2.4L.

Yeah, what's the deal w/the wimpy PT Cruiser's engine???

Anyhoo... I'm a Prowler fan, totally. I spotted a bad@ss magenta/green chameleon one just the other day. Needless to say I nearly crashed my car trying to get as long a look as I could! :o Standard trannies rule, but if you can't do it, oh well.

I'd be somewhat satisfied to see what the new Neon SRT has to show us. And a turbocharged Cruiser might just be interesting, too.

Not real big, so are they going to make these cars ever again or come out with something better to replace it?

I know a kid at my local community college that's got one. Silver. Very nice. He traded in his heavily modified WS6 for it. Said he wanted it just to get the ladies.

That would be pretty sweet. It seems funny to me that the Prowler is no longer made. Oh well, I would be nice to see a Hemi in one. It look kind of weird though..

Re: Anyone here own a Prowler?

Found this sight doing research for friend: I own a 2000 Prowler and I must say "BEST CAR I'VE OWNED". I would like to say
some things on behalf of the car: Horsepower to weight ratio: slightly under 300hp with a car weight just over 2000+ Lbs. Did you know that the 3.5 high compression aluminum engine can be called or considered a V6 Hemi, it has hemispheric pistons and also is tuned with the transmission (factory high performance chip) to deliver the utmost performance. The entire car is made up of aluminum and composit materials to keep weight down. When you sit in the car and ride down the highway, it feels like your in the cockpit of a race car or jet plane, the car handles great and will move in any direction you want to go.
its not for everyone, but for performance, looks and all the options it comes with, if anyone has a chance to drive one" do so there are only about 20 new cars left available and a host of used ones. Check out the Prowler Owners Association sight for more information, and there will be
about 60-80 Prowlers coming to the Wisconsin Dells in July/05 for our National get together.
question; would I sell my Prowler for a Corvette/Porsche/GTO ? nope.
Peace
