Are'nt there any recalls on these switches? I have the same problem on my 2004 Century. Driving along at night and sometimes all the lights go out, hit the dimmer and they work again. Sometimes not for long and sometimes ok. How does the headlamp system function on these centurys. In normal operation the lights go on and off (after a delay) always by themselves. When are you supposed to use the headlamp switch ? on the left, it seems to work, but why is it even there if lamps are automatic? Bought car with no owners manual. Am I supposed to pull the switch on at night or not? I also saw a bulletin about possible bad or intermittent wiring in a box under the hood near the battery. Geez nice cars...

Re: 2004 Century Headlights
Welcome to AF.
On the multifunction switch at the steering column no recall to my knowledge. You can use the manual headlight switch to override the automatic headlamp feature. Also, to turn on the parking lamps on when parked and ignition is to off, etc. But operating the headlight switch at the dash is not necessary if the automatic headlight system is working properly.
