Vibration

New problem! Im getting a pretty hard vibration when the car is in gear (D)(OD)(1)(2). I'm thinking it may be bad motor mounts but want some other suggestions before I get arms deep in it. The whole car seems to shake.

Re: Vibration

many things can cause this, without a road test only guesswork is suggested, a engine misfire can cause this a tire with a belt shift, bad axle joint and much more.

Re: Vibration

Im going to hook up a code reader and see what I get.

The vibration only happens at a standstill. Not sure if its related to the recent cold weather...

Re: Vibration

Max is right. Does this happen only at a stop or also when driving?

MONOTONY is the worst driving hazard, so SHUT-UP when I'm driving.

Re: Vibration

This only happens in gear? Is check engine light on?

Re: Vibration

Try unplugging the TCC solenoid, then putting in gear.

Yeah only in gear. Only while stopped. No check engine light. Ill unplug the TCC and see what happens.

Performance seems to be normal.
