Is there any way to "shunt" or "jump" the shift solenoid B which is responsible for the 4th gear/overdrive in the Pontiac Bonneville SSE 95. Mine works erratically, most of the time not "overdriving" at all. Most mechanics tell me that there is no way to have access to it save by putting the whole transmission body down, bringing it almost to the cost of a new trans. Thanks in advance for any comment.

Re: p0755 Shift Solenoid B Malfunction
No is there is no way to do this, the application works thru the solenoid, it must be replaced. Trans side cover comes off to drop this, about 5.0 hours labor plus fluld gaskets and solenoid, no where near a trans overhaul.
