5S-FE Blow-by
My '96 5S-FE 4 cyl has really intense blow-by at idle as judged by removing the oil filler cap. If I place my hand over the filler cap hole, it is quickly covered in oil. The PCV valve system and other breather line to the intake are both free and clear. Compression on all cylinders is between 175 and 185 psi. Engine is relatively smooth-running and seems to have normal power for this engine at least.
This may be a characteristic of the 5S-FE engine. Anyone else give input on their experience with this?

Re: 5S-FE Blow-by
Mine does the same thing. If I remove the oil fill cap when it's running, I get spurts of oil on the underside of the hood and on the windshield. I also reported a ways back when attempting to pour Seafoam into the oil fill, it just got blown back out of the funnel...think I'll try pouring it down the dipstick tube next time. PCV was clean and working and power is good. I think it is just inherent...any others?

Re: 5S-FE Blow-by
This is in sharp contrast with other engines (50-150k miles) I am familiar with which have absolutely no blow-by under the same circumstances.
