Tamiya Toyota Hiace

This is my first ever model i've done....
It took me a day to put everything together (incl. paint)

Not much effort put in it though....

Last but not least, here's the:
Toyota Hiace 1:24 Scale Model

Re: Tamiya Toyota Hiace

I am not a big fan of the Hiace van but, I think you have done a wonderful job with the paint and details! The paint scheme you have chosen sure does help things alot.

Re: Tamiya Toyota Hiace

Well, it is an Aoshima model. I don't understand what you mean by you got it from a Tamiya dealership. Either the store lied to you and told you it was a Tamiya, or they didn't know themselves. Which I don't know is worse.

Now, your 2 builds I've seen so far are very clean. You put them together well. But there is no need for rushing them. Although we would all love to finish anything, in one day. You could do more to them. Like paint the trim around the windows, grilles. I'm not trying to put you down. We are all here to help each other

Re: Tamiya Toyota Hiace

That's a Aoshima kit mate. Aoshima has been around as long as Tamiya and Fujimi has. Tamiya, Fujimi, Aoshima, and Hasegawa are all the big Japanese companies that makes 1/24 kits. Aoshima is as big as Tamiya is.

Re: Tamiya Toyota Hiace

Andy forgive me for saying this but was it only 4 wheels a body and a chassis because that is one beautiful Hi-Ace for a one day build well done.
