I have worked on this for awhile now and am almost finished. a couple renderings of my 61 Econoline (it itself, is a work in progress). This image will be applied to the wall in the shop with vinyl once i am satisfied . Maybe a little motivation to look at during the long overhaul hours... Hope you like it .. and C&C greatly welcome....thanks!

Lemorris... thanks for the kind words. I am not sure..maybe you are just being gentle because of the holiday season... thanks alot though.. I know about the glass...that..and still the wheels i need to work on improving. I have so little time to focus on it, that i find i am rushing to complete things.. i need to maybe take more time... thanks for the inspiration you give to this board.. Happy New Year... !!

well spent some time tonight working on it.. this is what i ended up with so far.. I think the port window on the side needs refining..all in all making some progress....

Both look great, but for me, I'm all over the wheel-standin' toony one.

Have you thought about letting a bit of interior detailing show thru the glass?
That was a piece of advice I got a while ago and helped me to take more
time to detail out all sections of a CAR-toon.

Hey Blip.. I have thought about and tinkered with drawing interiors and people etc. I would love to get to renderings like the ol' rat fink , and the likes of thom taylor, Chip Foose, etc.... maybe i should jump all in. I feel i am taking all my time to learn and get technique for the cars themselves first..before complicating things. Maybe that is holdng me back a little.. cause i dont think I will ever be 100% satisfied with my renderings..maybe some more detail like interiors etc, will step it up..thanks for the comment and suggestions... appreciated!

I think you'll find that most of us are never fully satisifed with our designs,
but there comes a time when you got to just let go.

It's good that you're following a path for improvement, but maybe set aside some time for experimenting too.
Lemorris is a good example, as he always seems to be testing a new technique to post.
I get many new ideas to use on my own style by studying his and the other great designs in progess work posted in this site.

Why not find some examples of Taylor's, Foose's, or Roth's work and first try making a couple of sketches of the image
to see how you can create the styling.
Once you feel comfortable with that technique, than try creating a new image using that styling.
This is what I do, lots of practice work to see if I like the style/technique.

To me, CAR-tooning is like any sport, it takes repetitive practice to train my hand/arm and coordinate my brain to a new drawing style.
Also, I continue practicing current techniques to maintain my skill level or improve it.
I love to doodle so practicing is never a problem or burden for me.
