Angry 93 villager surging. tps?

I've replaced all tune up parts. Smelled gas when cold found leak in hose so I fixed. Cuts out around crusing speeds. pulled off throdle plate and cleaned was really gummy. Seemed to be fixed but then started cutting out again. I just decided to replace TPS and it seems to run fine, yet how do I set the TPS as it is sloted, I just set it in the middle
