tigeraid's Finished Models of 2008

Well we did this over on SPC last year, haven't seen anyone else's yet so I thought I'd post. Everyone else feel free to make a similar thread, that way people who may have missed some of your WIPs will get a treat!

Slower year for me this year as I took the business part time, but I still got a fair bit of work done.

This one's still a WIP, but I love the body and decal work so much I figured I'd post--plus I'm still waiting for the customer to give me details on the interior and engine (the real car is a WIP too) before I proceed:

This Caprice, one of two wagons for one customer, is also complete, although in this pic it's missing the sideview mirrors and I haven't blacked out the grille yet. There'll be a "Complete" thread on both of these wagons when I finish the second, but figured I'd post it here:

Dad's '57 Chevy... as I explained in the WIP, it was an old old Revell kit that I built for him when I was a little kid and it was awful, and I always looked at it when I visited and got angrier and angrier until finally I stole it and rebuilt it! It's a mish-mash of AMT and Revell parts, and one of my best, glossiest black paint jobs:

A '92 Olds Custom Cruiser, easily the most difficult of my many GM Wagon builds... As mentioned in the WIP, it uses a Modelhaus Roadmaster body (for the Vista Roof) and the entire front clip from a Revell Impala SS, as the Olds version had the Chevy front end... The grille is custom-fabricated out of strip styrene, and the wheels are from some sort of Toyota, and closely match the Oldsmobile wheels:

A customer's Rat Rod '37 Ford Pickup, one of my most satisfying projects, as it was my first hot rod/rat rod of any kind. Chopped, channeled, with steel wheels and dogdish Ford caps and tires from Modelhaus, smallblock 327 Chevy, '32 Ford grille and housing, wood-grain in the bed, and headers fabricated by M1CR0 from SPC. Tons of fun!

rhett's road-racing, straight-six powered Chevy Nova, another build where I was able to let my creativity run wild:

rhett's Goldenrod land speed racer... Not much to say here, it was such a wacky scale that I was unable to do any custom work, so it was just assembled, cleaned really well and painted:

rhett's recently completed Pro-Touring style mid-engine Corvair, powered by a turbocharged Pontiac 4.1 SOHC inline 6, with the roof cut off and engine cover in a speedster style:

My first car bra! Customer's '88 Ford Thunderbird, bone stock and all. EXCELLENT 10-hole Mustang wheels by Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland:

Perfectly clean, 100% bone stock Camaro B4C for a customer:

And his clean, 100% bone stock, Impala SS:

My own, quick, throw-together '65 Mustang Vintage SCCA Racer:

As you can see, I need to spend a bit more time working on some stuff for myself...

Nice stuff, for the car bra i would've gave it a semi or flat clear. That firebird is looking great, get it finished.

I really like the Nova. Not only did I not finish a model in 2008, I didnt even manage to start one. You sure have been busy.
