?
I have a 98` jeep grand and sometimes it starts and sometimes it don't, when i turn the key it just goes click click click, and then other times it fires right off. I took the starter off and took it to local auto parts store and they say its a good starter. I can take a screw driver and cross over the starter and it will start that way most times but its my wife's jeep and she doesn't want to have to start it that way. I put a jumper with a push button on it but it doesn't always work. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do or if its a censor going out?

Re: ?
I have seen a couple of vehicles with the main battery cable bad. But these vehicles did not start at all. you possibly need to do a voltage drop on the battery cable when the vehicle does not start

Re: ?
Hundahunta's on the right track....corroded positive cable or even a bad battery is where I'd start. How old is your battery?
