Vw Mk1 Gti #on deep dish steelies# (lots of pics)

Finally done

Kit: Fujimi 1/24

Rims: Aoshima 14' custom steel wheels & Kaļ parts

Modifications:

- chassis transformed to fit the wheels

- brass tubing exhaust

- velvet floor mats

- Special Vw shift knob

- head-rests modified

- PE tapes, small Performance Vw and Super VW magazines

- seat belts

- towing hook front/rear

Love it! Followed the WIP and figured it would turn out well. Never thought that the crazy wide wheels could be pulled off on such a small car but they work!

Wow, for some reason i didn't pay attention to the progress thread, but once i opened this finished thread i was stunned. Beautiful job, all the detail work is just perfect. Not overdone, like a euro should be!!! Also top notch work on the grill and good wheel choice. Keep them v-dubs comin!

Congratulations for this new member to your collection. You gave a "living touch" to this simple kit. Very good job sir!

The only thing which I am not completely agree is at the top... I should use putty to cover "sunroof" lines or open it

Nice work Xavier, and as usual verry close to the 1/1 scene.

Just one thing: IMO you should have filled the gap between the grille and the body (next to the headlights)
