96 Jimmy 4-door-cost to replace fuel pump

My mechanic has just replaced my fuel pump on my Jimmy 4x4, four door. Does anyone know what a fair price for labor is to replace it? I know the part is around 265.00
Thanks,
Jeff

Labor should be around 2 to 3 hours flat rate. Labor rates vary widely around the USA, check with some local shops for their labor rate. Here in the Detroit area they are currently around $80 per hour.

And to keep it a one time replacement always use a AC-Delco/Delphi fuel pump.
The AC pump is only around 25$ higher than the cheap after market and will save you many hrs replacement cost on bad new pumps and tow bill's and head aces.
Good Luck
