Update 1997 Grand cherokee limited 5.2 starter?
I have a problem with starting my Jeep. When it is cold I turn the key and nothing no sound no clicking nothing. After I turn it on and off a few times it will click and turn over and start up. It also seems to start ok when warm. I cleaned the battery terminals and it didn't make any difference so I guess now I remove the starter.. Am I on the right track or is there another reason this happens. It has 165,000 miles on it.
Update
I re-seated the relay but I am still not sure. I started it several times with no hesitation at all. The starter cranks fine when it finally connects and it seems to be when it is cold. I am wondering now if it is NSS or have I missed something? I think I am going to upgrade my AAA...
