My distributor went out so I replaced it with a salvage. After I installed it and timed it it drove fine about 2 miles then I punched it and then it went out.. Whats tha deal???

I think it was purely bad luck.. Make sure all your connections are correct... reseat them anyways. The only other thing is to make sure you have the correct voltage going into the dizzy.

Re: Distributor problem

if you checked voltage and continuity in the wires and connections its the ignitor but your better off buying a new distrib because its likely that someting else caused a break in the ignitor
