Lotus 7: Powered by BMW
Hi all.
After looking at this site for a very long time, i decided to finally register, and see if it would help me improve my modeling skills. This is my fourth painted model. This is a Lotus 7 with 3.5 litre, inline-six engine from Tamiya's BMW 635csi GR.A Racing kit. Tuned by the Schnitzer race team, this engine produced 300 bhp. ![]() I couldn't really find any images of the engine standing by itself, so i just guessed. I've also had to extend the body by 2-3 millimetres as the fanbelt (I hope that's the correct term) took up space needed for the front suspension. Start: ![]() Progress: ![]() It still needs work, but the shape is there. Feel free to comment and criticize my work as I'm still developing my skills. Also, how do I put up an avatar? |
