For all motor go b16 good for top end speed. B18a is good for turbo but also can be used as all motor. They are slow on top end but have more torque than b16 Both are good motor so i 'm an all motor guy and i voted for b16.

i had the same prob in either goin b16a or b18a (not much diff on b18a & b just diff yrs) but if i was to go b18 i was gonna go ls/vtec. like mellowboy said b16 is good for top speed not to mention vtec, but if u go ls/vtec thats a diff story of course. after all the thinkin i decided to go b18c (GSR) . ls/vtec would be nice but u gotta kno how to treat it and maintain it & im not so educated in that & b16's are like cell phones now in days "every1 has one" so ill be 1 of the fews with a gsr & thats my 2 cents

thats funny man I agree thou. Do what you want man. I really can't b16 or b18 cause I am more of a D kind of person. I had a B16 once and If I were gonna do it again I would Do a B18.

You live in Cali and a GSR swap is rare??? GSR swaps are just as common as B16's here. GSR's ain't nothin special here in WA or anywhere else for that matter. Where in Cali do you live?
