Think I have a blown Engine

Driving on highway thanksgiving day morning, all of a sudden my acceleration basically cuts in half, and a small faint smell comes out of heating vents. I should of pulled over immeadiatly but i had a few to many beverages. The idiot light never came on and I slowly drove about another 9 minutes to my house. Shut car off, opened hood, and my o2 sensor is red hot. I mean bright red like it just came out of a hot fire. Next morning, tried starting car it turned over and then imeaditatly shuts off. Can't be head gasket, have pleny of fluid, and my oil filter is still there, eventhough I thought I left it on highway. I think it's my timing chain what do you guys think before I drop it off monday morning at the mechanic.
