Distributor Exposure : VW Beetle (1963)
Dear Forum Members:
The base on distributor (1963 VW Beetle) is exposed. There used to be a piece of aluminum tape over the hole on the side (on base of distributor -right side - below distributor cap). I don't know the part names all that well. I know that motor oil could get in that distributor though. What kind of tape do I need to cover that hole? Please help! Casey |

Re: Distributor Exposure : VW Beetle (1963)
Thanks for all the help Forum Members!
I put a small piece of duct tape over the 'point adjustment' hole (just under the distributor cap on the base of my distributor). I think that should do the trick until I get some 'high temp' duct tape that looks and feels more like aluminum with the sticky adhesive backing. Just thought I should give everyone an update. Cheers, |
