2001 hyundai accent no acceleration
Aloha,
my car has hardly any power when I try to accelerate.I changed the fuel filter, that was fun, lol,I also changed the spark plugs and cleaned the MAS as well as I could but could not open it all the way as I do not have a security screwdriver to open it . It runs a little better but it runs like a champ if i disconnect the MAS alltogether. Will I be doing any damage to the engine driving it with it disconnected until I can purchase a new MAS, found one on e-bay for 50.00 but can't afford to purchase it until next month.Much Mahalos for any advice you may have, Pat in Maui |

Re: 2001 hyundai accent no acceleration
It will don't damage your engine, but it may damage your catalyc converter if you run with the MAF sensor disconnected.
