Click/Popping Sound from Accelerating/Braking
I have an 01 Mustang GT (automatic tranny), about 72K, and over the past few weeks it has started making a slight popping/clicking noise from the front end of the vehicle when accelerating/declerating, noticeable particularly at lower speeds, so when coming to a complete stop or giving the car gas. Also, it is less likely to make any noise if I come to a gradual stop or gradually pick up speed. This is not a high pitched screech or grinding of metal, just a low pop, like something shifting in and out of place, and it is not constant, only during the acceleration/braking times. If this was a FWD I would go straight after the CV's, but on a RWD I'm a little lost what would make that noise outside of the generic terms of check the front suspension. If anyone has something specific I could check out, any and all help is appreciated.

Re: Click/Popping Sound from Accelerating/Braking
