Re: 91 escort gt
Considering that it is an Escort, it would be unwise to spend much at all trying to turn it into a performance vehicle... it just isn't going to happen. There are no specific parts you should be looking for, it depends more on what your long term goal is.
Don't expect any drastic changes from what you have though... a few HP here and there might be cool, but it is still a small engine designed for fuel efficiency, not power. |

Re: 91 escort gt
Performance isnt really as important to me, im kind of just looking for some nice things to soupe it up a bit such as spoilers, side skirts, hoods, and things like that. thanks for your help.

Re: 91 escort gt
It should already have spoilers and side skirts on it.

Re: 91 escort gt
You dont need much for the Escort GT, it already comes with nice side kits. You may want to get some clear headlights and side marker lights/performance muffler/air filter on ebay. Throwing in some rims wouldnt hurt either. Just remember its a pretty old car so its kinda not worth spending alot of money over it.

Re: 91 escort gt
I think the best thing about that gizmo would be if it lit up blue under the hood. Performance-wise I doubt it will do anything at all.
If I wanted to sink some money into my Escorts, a thumping sound system would be the first thing I would aim at. Next one would be some pretty wheels. |
