Rockauto.com lists an exhaust manifold flange gasket for $10.00. I assume this is the one your'e needing? They also have exhaust pipe flange gaskets.

when this work is being done insure that the exhaust is free from hitting the frame and the hangers are in good condition....this will keep the manifold pipe gaskets and other exhaust piping free of future problems...

check the motor mounts especially the drivers side...

Re: '84 5.7 doughnut gasket or not.

g.m. used to use a gasket where the exhaust pipe goes to the exhaust manifold years ago back in the 60s and 70s and they would break and cause a leak. didn't know if they still had them on '84 model or not. i can get them from o'reillys at 5 bucks apiece.we used to call them doughnut gaskets because they look like a doughnut. but thanks.
