Re: 91 civic distributor swap

You would have to convert the whole car to obd1, and multiport fuel injection.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

Why are you needing to do this? Bad igniter, coil, what? You might be able to swap the parts you need around, but you can't just plug and play the whole distributor.

As Frodo mentioned, it would require doing a MPFI conversion and OBD1 conversion to use it.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

Its simple, I am a nut for customizing and want to put this part on http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-1107...031668&sr=1-24 but it will only fit on a 92+ Distributor (even thow the website says it will fit, it does not -.-)

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

Well Mr. Nut for customization....in simple terms, no it will not work, and sorry I won't help you on making it work. I'm a big Function over form guy, so I don't see the point. Maybe someone else will be willing to give you some advice on it.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

wait... you can't use an OBD-1 cap on a OBD-0 dizzy? I always thought you could...

So.. customization guy... try customizing it... I mean, that's what you do, isn't it?... MAKE it work.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

don't explain it.. just take a pic.

I could have thought of 13 ways to do it. but frankly, I didn't, since none of them would have improved performance of the vehicle one bit, and as far as I can tell, wouldn't have improved the aesthetic value either.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

If it wasn't an obvious solution from the start..or required cutting/glue/anything then you went way wrong. Destroying any aesthetic gain and possibly losing performance to meet the initial idea that it would be cool to have a clear distributor cap.

Re: 91 civic distributor swap

Thing about this: I"m pretty sure most, if not all honda 4 cyl dizzy caps are interchangeable... I'm kinda hoping for the sake of the OP that I'm wrong about this.
