I would like to change out my OEM fuel filter and replace it with a "green" cleanable/reusable fuel filter. At $15-$20 for OEM, it does not take long to pay for a lifetime filter - especially when one's legislators mandate ethanol in all gas served in Washington State and filters need to be changed more often. Adapters are needed according to Summit and Jegs, but some auto manufactures have patents on their connectors and adapters are not readily available for an easy conversion. I own GM products that take the same filter - i.e., M16 x 1.5 thread outlet, and 3/8" Saginaw "push-on" inlet. I may have to replace the inlet hose to get a correct fit for the inline 6AN aftermarket filter. Anyone on this forum undertaken a project as this?
