1998 Buick Century Fan Noise
I have a 1998 Buick Century and when I turn on the heater fan it makes a squeeling noise. How do I fix this problem?

Re: 1998 Buick Century Fan Noise
The same blower is used for A/C so it should be making noise in that setting. The noise is the blower motor bearings. Either replace the blower or if you are DIY capable then remove the blower motor and lube the bearings which may help.

Re: 1998 Buick Century Fan Noise
Thanks, Is it better to replace just the bearings or the whole blower motor? Also is the motor located on the passengers side under the hood? Is it fairly easy to fix?

Re: 1998 Buick Century Fan Noise
Replace the blower motor. The blower motor is located under the passenger side kick panel in the cabin under the dashboard. Just remove the kick panel and you will see it. I recall about 3 each 5.5mm bolts hold it up to the lower HVAC enclosure.
