I'm not sure; I have scratchbuilt my own parts befor though and also done some moderate kit modifications before.

arnt almost all of the models from amt or the other cheap brands all skill 2...?

i'll buy skill level 2s, then if the model doesnt hve chrome exsaust tips, i'll make them from scratch. but most of my models do so, i really only do that for 2 models (Hummer and 1995 Dodge Ram Flatbed)

I'm not very good in spraying jobs but getting better and better in scratchbuilding body kits. these was said by a pro builder.

1st bodykit spend me months to sand, then on the 4th bodykit, it takes me 2 weeks to complete and it looks near perfect, so I grade myself as a good scratchbuilding modeler. But still try best to improve more in everything.

2, but tryin to do 3.5 too early and messin up alot of models in the process, I've used more brake fluid than paint.

Well if your talking about the pre rated skill I usually get 2s as they are jsut about the only ones made. I've only ever done 2 snap kits, a Ford explorer and a Kenworth semi. I've done 2-3 level 3 kits and I've been planning on getting a level 7
