does anyone have thoughts on Federal Tyres?
I'm looking to buy a new set of tires for my grand marquis and started reading about Federal tires. They seem to be an up and coming company but i would like to know if anyone is using the Super Steel's on their vehicle. I'm looking at the Super Steel 657's and they seem to be a really nice tire, if anyone has these or an opinion on Federal in general I would like to hear about it.

Re: does anyone have thoughts on Federal Tyres?
They aren't an "up and coming" company.
They're just another more or less generic brand.

Re: does anyone have thoughts on Federal Tyres?
Welcome fo AF. Federal mandates on tire manufacturing makes 99% of all tires safe. I have had some Fed's on my Escort. I purchased them at almost 1/2 of what Michelins would have gone for. They are rated at 40k for wearout, but that is a pessimistic figure as I have 55k on them and they still have 3/32 inch tread left. I think how you drive determines the life of your tires, more so than how they are made. They are good tires.
