Cool Trans Oil

Can anyone tell me the oil capacity of the 69 IRS trans, and wich gear oil to use is better, the synthetic or regular?

5.3 US pints

Which oil to use is a personal preference. Basic 90 weight dino oil will give years of dependable use.

Synthetic is good, especially if you drive in colder climates. The synthetic won't thicken up and cause hard shifting before getting warmed up.
