Egr
Hi, I am working on my 87 gt, I had a vacuum leak, so exploring it i found out that the EGR tube was broke. My question is can I find one of those on another 2.8 liter v6 or was it specific to the fiero models. I found one at the fierostore.com and they wanted 100 for it. not that I am so cheep as to not spend 100 on a part, it just seams ridiculous for what it is. any suggestions on how to build another one, or replace it with another part.

Re: Egr
EGR tubes have become a pricey part for the Fiero in the last 20 years. Summit had them listed at $146+. www.gmpartsdirect.com does not have the part # 10137017 for the EGR listed, stating that the part # may have changed.
You may want to check another local parts supply house or friendly GM dealer for the part. Some people have just removed the EGR tube and sealed the openings with a solid plate which may affect engine performance and may screw up emissions. |

Re: Egr
I would advise you to spend the money,I have a 86 2.8 that had a burned tube,I welded it and it did not hold. the fiero store has a very good product and I bought thiers. besides the time spent doing this job more than once is not worth it

Re: Egr
Thanks for the reply. I was considering what i was going to do about it, I got to do something this week the gasket started leaking I couldn't find a replacement gasket, so i ended up using some of the stupid liquid seal stuff, u know what i am talking about. I think it is just about all burnt off by now, and it is leaking exhaust around there.
