Sounds Like A Squeeky Toy???

I have a 2002 Astro AWD and for the past couple of days I get a loud squeeky noise coming from my rear suspension. I am thinking it might be bushings. My local parts store guy told me to spray WD40 type lubricant into the bushings because they might be dry. Another person told me that it sounds like rust between my leaf springs. All I know is that it sounds like an old beater and it is far from being a beater. I am almost ashamed when I am around crowds. If I jump on the rear bumper it squeeks but not as loud. It is worst when I drive on bumpy roads.

I am open to any ideas! I just don't want to take it to a local shop and be taken for a ride.

Silicone oil on the shock mounts and 20W between the springs, unless you want to remove the springs, in which case you can unstack them, clean the pads, and apply a fresh layer of moly grease at the ends. You might also want to check the U bolts for the springs to make sure they are tight, and look at the park brake cable as a source of noise.
