Just starting on
Hello All,
New to this forum and thought I would ask if there is anything I should be looking out for. I just got a 1993 Cavalier RS convertible 3.1 V6 for my son as a project to restore. The top, tires, and interior are really rough. Are their any items I need to look out for or just replace because they go out. It is his first car and I want it to be reliable for him. Is the 3.1 a good little engine? Thank you in advance for your comments. |

Re: Just starting on
Just keep up on maintenance and you should be good. The 3.1 is an OK motor.

Re: Just starting on
3.1 worked very well in my `91 sunbird. no complaints, had about 130k on it when I parked it due to body or lack of .......lol. changed the oil every 3000 miles and never had to add any in between changes

Re: Just starting on
Are there any areas for concern like changing out the brake rotors for a different year because they have problems or anything of the sort?
It's a convertible and the top is wasted, is that a major undertaking to put a new top on? Sorry for the stupid questions I just haven't dealt with anything in this arena before. Now HP Diesel trucks I can help you with... |
