Gas Tank Removal
Hello.
I have a 1995 neon and my gas tank has a hole in the top of the tank. I have recently bought another neon that had a new tank installed on it a short while back. I am going to switch tanks but the new tank is still on the car and full of gas. What is the best way to drain the fuel from the new tank. Thanks JIM |

Re: Gas Tank Removal
I hooked a pressure tester hose to test port and ran the car. You can also jump the pump relay and run into gas cans. As always be sure there is nothing close that will ignite the gas.

Re: Gas Tank Removal
I do believe the 95 fuel pumps have a drain port on it.

Re: Gas Tank Removal
The '95 cars do indeed have a drain port, remove the tank filler cap, then the drain port cap, and push a piece of tubing into the tank via the drain port, and drian fuel into a suitable container.
