Park Avenue vs. Lumina

Hi,

I wanna buying a new car, I have the choice between a 1992 Buick Park Avenue and a 1998 Lumina LS Police...
I dont know which one is the better one, both cost the same, so I will hear your oppenion, my girlfriend had a Lumina too, and I know it very good, but I cant say anything between the 2 Cars, cos I come from Germy, and here are US Cars rare...
Here 2 Links, I know the text is German but Pictures say more then Textes...

Re: Park Avenue vs. Lumina

Thats a difficult choice. If I were to decide I would go with the 1992 Park Avenue. I Just bought a 92 PA and am very happy with it. Its a large car that has alot of style (excellent chrome.) The Lumina is newer and will likely be in better mechanical condition, but the cars very plain looking. Plus, I feel the styling of newer cars like the lumina aren't very pleasant looking.

My votes for the 92 Buick. There likely are not many of these on the roads in Germany, and its styling is more classic then the lumina. Definitely will be unique to drive around Germany with.

Mechanically speaking the 92 is a good car to work on. Ive never worked on a lumina, but if you intend to do your own engine work you should be safe with either vehicle.

Its weird to see a PA with all the additional markers on it. Im glad we don't have to have so many indicators and reflectors here in the US.

Re: Park Avenue vs. Lumina

Not a bad looking PA for 950 Euro (EUR) $1,473.83 US (USD). Too bad it is not an Ultra! I would still choose the PA over the Lumina.
