1995 Sub' A/C blower max speed Question
My 95 Suburban has a max setting for Max cooling. The blower seems to run on all speeds. When I place the blower on high and place the temp control to MAX, I do not hear the blower motor go to a higher speed nor do I feel an air flow change. (My inlaws have a 99 Tahoe and it has the exact HVAC system as mine, when it is placed on high fan and max A/C I experiance a audible increase in fan speed along with increased air flow.)
My 95 has manual controls and has both front and rear A/C. 350 engine automatic with 4 wheel drive. The A/C cools has it should, I just believe that I may have a resistor blown. I have checked the relays and the 50 amp fuse, all seem fine. Where can I find the resistor mounted? Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Re: 1995 Sub' A/C blower max speed Question
The MAX setting engages the RECIRC mode on some models. It has NO input to the fan speed. What you are hearing is not an increase in fan speed, but a change in airflow from outside air (normal) to inside air (recirc). If your fan increases in speed in all 4 positions you have NO fan problem.
Hope this helps and welcome to AF. By the way your '95 system may look the same as the '99, control wise but is probably quite different in functionality.
