Please give me the 101 of a 98

Hey everyone.. love using this site, its awesome, keep it up!

So, i just picked up a 98 intrepid today, my personal first, there was a 95 in the family.. but can anyone or everyone please give me the 101 of this car. whats its main problems, or things i should watch out for? common issues, or give me some positive comments.. i like to get to know my vehicles and take care of them... thanks in advance.

I'll add things to this list as i find it because i'm reading aswell, but feedback would be appreciated to help verify things i find.

1. someone told me these cars are known for bad wiring harness for the tail lights? i'm told i'll be replacing bulbs every 4 months cause of the crappy wiring?

2. 98 and up i guess are known for bad speed sensors in tranny which will stop it going into O/D?

Overall the Intrepid is decent...

I say this because I have a 1993 and it still runs excellently.. I run it normally (as a daily driver) and sometimes race it (with mods, of course ) but I have a problem with the tail lights. Maybe its from 1993 and up the wiring harness is horrid? I'm not too sure, but at least the engine hasn't blown up yet and everything runs good as new... So there's not too many cons.. Except a 3.3LV6 runs a little hotter than newer cars, but its okay.

Re: Please give me the 101 of a 98

i went down to the dealership today.. they looked over my car for me free of charge.. I asked them about the tail light thing... they said they never heard of it..... i was mad that i couldn't get keyless entry for my car becuase it was never equipt with it... Found out my car is a step down from top notch.. I don't have spoiler, fog lights, or sunroof.. thats the differences i noticed so far.....
