2000 LS V8 Sport stalling when applying brakes hard

Does anyone know why my LS will stall out or seem to go into neutral when I hit the brakes hard?

There's a small breather port that provides air to the throttle body + engine when the throttle plate is closed. If this port is plugged with PCV junk, it will stall going from Wide Open Throttle to No throttle.

Re: 2000 LS V8 Sport stalling when applying brakes hard

the IAC valve (idle air control) is located on the side of the throttle body - and allows a little to sneek past the closed throttle to keep the engine from stalling. there is a little motor inside of it that adjusts the amount of air allowed past - and keeps watch on the idle rpms, constantly adjusting. if it is plugged (stated above) or defective (can't adjust quickly enough) the car will have a stalling/stumble issue when going to or coming from using the gas pedal.
