Gauge Prob.

if the fuel gauge only goes to 3/4 full is there any way to tell if the gauge is bad or if it is the sending unit in the tank?
also my oil gauge randomly goes below 0 oil pressure. i have checked the pressure with another gauge hooked up to the sending unit and the pressure is fine. i assume the gauge is bad.

Re: Gauge Prob.

If fuel gauge works as normal below 3/4 full sounds like the sender in the tank is sticking. Test it same wat as you did with oil guage.

there are three wires to sending unit in tank. when i got the car they were not connected. so i'm not sure which goes where. i have tried several combinations. so i'm not real sure which is ground etc.
