Aftermarket or dealer
I have a civic that is not running correctly and I spoke to a guy that worked at a honda dealership for a long time. He told me that the issue that I am having is due to my cap plugs and wires are aftermarket. Is it possible that having aftermarket cap plugs and wires to cause lack of power on a 98 honda civic 1.6 with Vtech?

But getting back to your question, it's possible low quality aftermartket parts are causing your car not to run correctly. I think you really can't go wrong with a name brand aftermarket parts or dealer parts. I use copper Autolite sparkplugs for my 89 with dealer sparkplug wires, cap and rotor. I'm not ready to replace the plugs on my 2000 but I've replaced the cap and rotor with dealer parts so far. Both run great. |
