Battery light comes on in message center for a few seconds then turns off?

When I drive my Montana going up on the overpass the message center battery light turns on for about 5 seconds then turns off at least twice when im going on the expressway only..when im in the city the light doesnt come on at all ..anyone know why this is happening?

I'd check the output of your alternator. Put a volt meter on the battery and check the voltage, it should be over or close to 14.25 with the van running. If it is lower it is not charging and a new alternator is needed.
