OT Recipe Thread

Hey all, this thread is to share some kind of meal/food that you purely enjoy cooking and/or eating. Any posts that do not relate to cooking, recipes, how things went when recipes tried will be removed. No OT for this thread

To start, mine is for breakfast

Ingredients
1 rasher bacon
1/2 onion
2 eggs
2 pieces of toast
butter, salt, pepper, milk (about a tablespoon)

What to do

1. Heat frypan to medium heat. Finely chop bacon and onion. Add to frypan.
2. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper to taste while browning onion and cooking bacon.
3. When bacon is how you like it, add the egg mix. Put toaster on.
4. Let eggs set, then move around the pan (scramble) ONCE - this is important to make it taste right. Once eggs are firm, serve onto toast.

Bon Apetit,
Oz

Dinner

Ingredients:
1 Still breathing, corn-fed Possum
3 Ripe but firm tomatoes
1 Large white or yellow onion
1/2 pound large mushrooms
2 large green peppers
1 package meat marinade
1/2 cup soy sauce
12 skewers (sticks are okay in Arkansas)

Preparation:
The possum must be alive so that you can scare it, giving you the "wild" taste from all the adrenaline it produces. It is best to hit it over the head with a large object in a humane manner. Boil the possum for 3 minutes to loosen the fur then skin and gut it.
De-limb (chop the little knubby legs off) the possum and cut the meat into 1/2 inch square chunks. Marinate overnight in a mixture of meat marinade and soy sauce. Kentucky residents who have no fridge can use an ice chest and may use radiator coolant instead of soy sauce.
Thread the meat and veggies onto your skewer/stick in alternating sequences to distribute the delicious flavor evenly. Cook over a barbecue, pit, 50 gallon drum or any other fire till you get the desired result. For added flavor, you can cook it over burning tires.

Linguini Carbonara...

For 2 large servings:
Bunch of Linguini
2 Eggs
Bunch of grated parmesan cheese
Bacon (Bac-o's will work in a pinch)
Green onions
Heavy cream
Extra virgin olive oil
3/4 stick of butter

Okay, cook the bacon and bust it up into little bits for later...

Um... cook the linguini, add some olive oil to the boiling water while the linguini cooks...

Once linguini is done, drain the water.

Add the butter or margarine and stir until it's all melted.

Then add about 1/3 cup of the heavy cream, and the parmesan cheese, and the 2 eggs (raw), and the green-onions and bacon bits. Stir until well mixed (the eggs should kinda cook while they are stirred with the hot pasta, I usually do this over a low heat....

Anyways, that's it... good stuff, pretty easy to make.

I've also made this using top ramen... just cook the raman noodles, add the butter, 1 egg, cream (or milk or whatever), cheese, and bacon bits...
