Red face 02 WV eurovan mv tires

I have a 2002 VW eurovan mv (weekender). It came with 225 60r 16 102h sports tires. I live in northen NY and the tires were not good in the snow so they gave me a second set of tires on steel rims. At 50,000miles both sets need to be replaced. I am having a hard time finding a good all weather 225 60r 16 with the 102 side wall rating. Michelin said the 102h was a must and they had no tires for my van.
question 1: can I get away with a lesser rating say a 98 for the side wall?
#2: what is everybody putting on there eurovan?
#3: Is 20 to 25,000 miles all I can expect on a set of tires?

Thanks Gary

Re: 02 WV eurovan mv tires

I have a 2002 Eurovan Camper and am having the same problem finding replacement tires. I am about to put on a set of 98 rated Michelins. Did you ever get a useful recommendation about appropriate tires?

Thanks.

Tom
