Bogging on the Hills
So the problem that I'm having is the car bogs down when I go up hills. I can start out going 55 and by the time I get to the top if I'm lucky I'll be doing 40 possibly 45. Also in order to even be able to do 40-45 the gas pedal has to be pressed all the way to the floor and I have to shift to 4th.Is there something that needs to be cleaned or checked to fix or even reduce this problem? I have a 94 geo 1.0L with a little over 185,000 miles.

Re: Bogging on the Hills
Sounds as if it's worn out, they usually don't go to 185K. Get the compression tested.

Re: Bogging on the Hills
I had a metro that did what yours is doing and it turned out to be the fuel pump. But do a compression check along with fuel pressure check.

Re: Bogging on the Hills
How much weight is in the car? Please note that these little cars are only running at 50 - 55 horsepower. Not much more than a riding lawnmower. LOL
