2006 R/T won't shift out of park

It appears to be jammed just after the shifter slides out of the park position. The shift lock works great, and after I step on the brake, it allows the shifter to move but that is where it stops. I need some input on to what could be causing it to stop where it does. This is driving me crazy, and I need to know if I need to just lubricate it or buy a new tranny (or rebuild one, one or the other)

Re: 2006 R/T won't shift out of park

that was what it was. The first couple of times, I had to use a screwdriver to disengage it and then it fixed itself. Might be a bad solenoid or switch that was preventing it from disengaging, but we are having it looked at soon. Thanks man!
