57 vette in progress - pics

Well, this is the AMT 57 Gasser. The wheels and tires are from the Revell '32. Don't remember who makes the aircleaner. I made my own oil filter and drive shaft by chucking some aluminum rod in my Dremel. Replaced the front springs with brass rod and wire. The rear features airbags made using O-rings and aluminum rod. I used the kit exhaust only as far as the end of the headers. The exhaust runs straight out and was replaced with aluminum tube. Lowered all the way around.

I like the Air bags, were they in the kit or did you make them?

The airbags are made from two different diameter aluminum tubes and O-rings from a hardware store.

I think I have this kit. I didn't start mine yet, but I know this is going to put mine to shame.

Looks good, although I think the tires are too shiny, so unless you are going for a show room look, I think the tires need a bit of a sand around the tread.
