mounts

LOL why do you think a new car like that needs new motor mounts anyway?
If you are thinking aftermarket is better I dont think so
spend your money somewhere else.

How do you know that your motor mounts are messed up and how can they mess up on such a new car?

My car is a 95 and I have had it for 2 yrs and that is 2 yrs of street racing and hard core daily driving and my motor mounts are fine.

I think the mechanic that told you that is either trying to take you for a ride or he's a complete idiot. There's no way unless your car has been wrecked that you need new motor mounts. I had 89 civic for 12 years and I never had a problem, motor mounts don't just go bad there's nothing to them. It a metal bracket with thick rubber pad around it all it does is hold the engine. My advice is get another machanic

Ok... Then how can you tell if the motor mounts are bad? The problem with my car is, when i press on the gas pedal i can the engine shake. Also when shifting gears it shifts pretty ruff and the RPM drops pretty quick. Now this never happened when the car was new. Oh by the way i live in North phoenix as well.
