Painting Question
My del slo friend recently purchased the wings west body kit for his car. He wants to get the kit painted the stock del sol black. He doesnt want to repaint the whole car however, but he doesnt want the kit to look different from the rest of the car, so he was thinking about doing at wet sand and buff for the rest of the car. Do you all think this is the best idea? Wat else could he do that wouldnt be too expensive but still match the kit? Thanx

I'd ask the guys in exterior. I personaly haven't done enough painting to give advice but I'm guessing really fine grit. I'd just wash the car really good and buff it to see how that looks first.

Give the body shop the gas door, they will match the paint the best they can. It also depends on the condition of the paint on the car. you might want to have the car wheeled out after the kit is painted and on the car.
if that doesn't help than, painting the car may be needed. |

Any good body shop should be able to match the paint no problem.

but remember, paint fades over time and it is hard as hell to match a color that has been on a car that long unless he has taken really great care of it from day 1. the best thing you could do is wet sand the whole car and polish it out with some compound if you want it to really shine but just a compound would help out alot. but be careful becvause it is black. swirl marks are a bitch!!!
