dashboard and idle lights wont turn on..

i have a 98 prelude and now when i turn the headlight knob to the first click where the dashboard lights (speedometer, RPM, temp, gas, etc) wont turn on, also i have projector headlights and the halo rings which are the idle lights wont turn on either.. checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok....please help! thank you...

more than likely your problem is going to be the switch. It's probably harder to tell on the kind that is the long stick with where your turn the knob on the end for your lights. But on the push button kind on the dash, it's easy to take the dash apart and be able to see and test both switches, the headlight and parking light, by knowing with the key on that you should have 12 volts on one side of both of them, and that the other side of each one will have 12 volts with the switch turned on. But like i said you if it's the other kind of switch with the long knob you might have to look at a diagram to see which color wires are going to the switch and then you will be able to check. More than likely if all the fuses are good it's going to be the switch.
