Mechanical condition and frame rust and trailer hitch is the first thing to check.
If in good shape they will pull there heart out.

It is completly restored with no rust and motor, tranny, tcase, axles have 32k on them!
I'm just looking for a number because I am planning to tow a 2k trailer with my 4800pound landcruiser from ct to pa and back roughly 300 miles one way.
Dont want to overdo the burb

Re: 87 Towing

Sorry I do not have the numbers.
You might look in owners manual for towing specs.
But I see no problems.
Just make sure you cooling system is clean and good and the rad is big enought and good.
And change coolant if it has 3 yers or more on it.
A good big extra tansmission coller is best for towing.
And give the transmission a pan drop and new filter and dexron fluid.
Good Luck

You sholld be set to go.
