pulsar fitting drive axels problems

hi 1991 pulsar FN14 1497cc auto,i removed left & right drive axels to fit new cv boots to l/inner & outer & r/inner boots,now i'm having problems trying to fit the right hand axel in to tranny take the circlip off no problem just slides in as it shoud,new circlip tried grease to hold circlip center,left hand side no problem just poped in do i need a special tool ?????? any adivce & help will be greatly appceated cheers mark

Hello,no on tool i dont even think there is one.any way they can be a bitch but making sure its level & rotating usually works.Good Luck
BTW make sure clip is still round i assume its not a new clip

Soft blow hammer and keeping the whole shaft straight, give it one good hit and it will pop in easily.
