I FINALLY got one!

Well after wanting a motorcycle for so long, I have finally purchased one. It's a 1995 Kawasaki Ninja 600R (AKA ZX600C I believe). It's in immaculate condition, guy only ever rode it during the summers, garage kept in the winter, regular maintenance, never laid down, all that good stuff. It has 21k miles on it and runs VERY well, only thing it will need in the next 3-4 months are tires. It's getting delivered tomorrow and I can't wait for the week to roll around so I can slap insurance on it and get out there and go. Paid 1300 for it, I think I got a good deal. I'll post some pics of it tomorrow.

I was considering the FZR600 earlier but the guy wasn't willing to negotiate on the price, and it wouldn't start, and it needed to be re-jetted because he installed the aftermarket exhaust system his self and didn't jet it right the first time.

Get us some pics when you can, and congratulations. Ride within your abilities and keep the rubber side down!

Here are the Pics taken Sunday the 15th.

So there she is, I haven't had a chance to ride her yet since I just got my insurance card today and am getting my Gloves/Helmet/Jacket tomorrow at my local Colorado Power Sports (Yay for 20% off coupon for accessories, that's off the bottom line by the way).

Found out that the front tire needs to be re-aligned and the throttle cable needs to be tightened a little since the throttle has a little too much slack, but other then that it's in excellent shape. Can't wait to get out there.

Again, congrats on the new bike, looks to be in excellent shape. If you're new to riding on the street, I would strongly suggest taking an MSF safety course. You'll be suprised at what you don't know.

Graduated from my MSF Course last June. Went through a local school here in Colorado known as T3RG, probably one of the best offered in my state. I am however considering taking some of the advanced riding classes this summer when they open up.

Re: I FINALLY got one!

Good for you. I've been riding street bikes since the 80's and took an MSF advanced course just for the discount on my insurance back in 93-94. I'm glad I took it, because it teaches you good techniques to stay visible to cagers and to ride within your abilities. My instructor realized I was an experienced rider and used me to help teach, but I still learned a few things and had a great time to boot.
